So, hidden behind a bus stop in Glasgow there’s wee, hidden gem of a place. As me and The Mary descended the stairs, in wonderment, we entered what could only be described as, Babbo Natale's Grotto
Now, I do love a twinkly light but this place
was sparkling and reminded me of the sun hitting the sea in Marina di Ragusa in Sicily, where Sarah and I went last
year.
The lights excited me so much it affected
my vision and I could hardly read the menu!
Then The Mary pointed out that I had no specs on.
Martina who took care of us was lovely.
My seat however…
Now, I know I look ok for my age, and I dribble a
bit but they sat me in a high chair and I was waiting for La Bella Martina to put my bib on. Now, the Mary was away from the wains for
the night and the look on her face at the thought of feeding me was
brilliant. They did move us very quickly
when I spat my dummy out and stamped the terazza.
I then did my usual and went to give the
toilets a ‘reccie’! They were the most beautiful toilets I have ever seen in my whole life and so clean. I thought I might ask
to have my coffee in there but when I suggested this to Martina she said I
should wait until they install some fairy lights.
I think Martina knows me well already.
Oh I nearly forgot...
The food was very good
too!
Il miglior cibo italiano ho avuto fuori
d'Italia, oltre a quello che faccio nella mia cucina, naturalmente!
Going again on Friday with Mrs O'Hara (if I remember to book)
Winners of The Italian Award for best team 2015!
